Proposal

The goal of the proposal is to identify and describe the project you’d like to work on for the remainder of the semester. Your proposal should describe the basic concept and functionality of your project. Where possible, you should outline what you anticipate to be the biggest challenges to project implementation. If there exist different media representations of your idea (videos, photos, etc.), please include links.

The proposal should be no more than 1 page. One reasonably detailed paragraph would be an acceptable length.

A description or guide of someone else creating a similar system is highly recommended. Ideally, resources will include at least one academic source (textbook, scientific paper, or UTwente researcher) closely related to the project.

Projects based on professional data sets or computer simulation are allowed, but must be cleared by the course instructor or a practitioner in the field.

The course instructor reserves the right to veto project ideas that he deems too dangerous or inappropriately scoped for the class. In the latter case, he may submit questions or comments to attempt to wrangle the scope into something feasible in 6 weeks.
